Installing the foam kit was surprisingly easy, and it completely eliminated that hollow ping I used to get when typing. The case and plate foams fit the Q1 HE perfectly with no trimming needed.

The foam kit finally made my Q1 HE sound much deeper and less hollow, and the included screws lined up perfectly with no stripping. It took about 20 minutes to install everything, but the aftermarket feel is definitely worth the effort.

Installed the gasket-mount foam pieces and immediately noticed a tighter, more uniform keystroke sound across the board. The bottom case foam also cut down the hollow echo I had before. Simple upgrade that made a noticeable difference.

The silicone dampeners are noticeably thicker than what I've used before, and they cut down the hollow ping dramatically. Took about ten minutes to swap everything in, my keystrokes feel much more solid now.

The included foam dampens the case ping so much that the keyboard sounds almost hollow now. Installation was straightforward too, just had to peel and stick the layers in place. Definitely the cheapest way to make this thing sound premium.
