The Keychron Q10 is Keychron’s latest 75% Alice layout mechanical keyboard. It features an aluminum body, gasket mounting, per-key RGB lighting, and hot-swappable sockets. Starting at $195, the Q10 offers great value for its premium design and customization options.

Keychron is known for producing affordable mechanical keyboards and the Q10 is no exception. Its 75% size removes the number pad for a compact look while still keeping the function keys and arrow keys. The Alice layout places the keys in an ergonomic arrangement that some find more natural to type on.

Specs

The Q10 comes in two versions: barebones ($195) including a case, plate, PCB, and stabilizers,

and fully assembled ($215) adding [Gateron switches]and PBT keycaps.

It uses an aluminum case with gasket mounting for a slight bounce. Hot-swappable sockets support switch changes without soldering. Per-key RGB and customization are enabled through Keychron’s VIA software.

Design

The Q10 has a solid aluminum frame with

and plate and bar protects the case. At nearly 5 pounds, it feels extremely sturdy. The back has height adjustable rubber feet to change the typing angle. The gasket mounting and aluminum construction give it a premium feel not found in cheaper keyboards.

Switches

The Q10 comes with Gateron G Pro switches, available in Red, Brown or Blue. The

used pre-lubed Brown switches, with a slight, though linear Red or clicky Blue may appeal more to some. Hot-swap sockets allow replacing the switches without soldering, so you can install your preferred switches.

Verdict

 With a 75% Alice layout,

aluminum case and extensive programability, the Keychron Q10 is a fully featured mechanical keyboard offered at an accessible price. While the looks and customization options rival keyboards double the price, its low cost may require some assembly.

Overall, the Q10 provides a premium typing experience and high value for money.

Compared to competing 75% Alice layout keyboards which often cost $300 to $500 or more, the Keychron Q10 is priced very competitively while also including hot-swap sockets, an aluminum case, and VIA software support. For those wanting an ergonomic 75% mechanical keyboard on a budget, the Q10 should be at the top of the list.
